New Chief Executive for Energy Action Scotland

For immediate release

1st April 2020

New Chief Executive for Energy Action Scotland

Frazer Scott has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Energy Action Scotland.

Announcing the appointment Stewart Wilson, Convener of Energy Action Scotland, said:

“I am delighted that Frazer will be leading Energy Action Scotland at this critical moment in tackling fuel poverty.

“Frazer has a wealth of experience in the energy and sustainable development sector and has demonstrated great success in business development and organisation change.

“Energy Action Scotland is committed to ending fuel poverty in Scotland. It goes without saying that we currently find ourselves in extraordinary times. Working to create warm, dry homes as a basic right for every household in Scotland will be an even greater challenge in time to come but we are confident that Frazer is the leader who can deliver that goal for EAS and for Scotland.”

EAS’ current Director, Norman Kerr OBE is to retire in May 2020 after 15 years in the post.

Frazer Scott said:

“I am absolutely delighted to be taking over leadership of Energy Action Scotland.

“These are particularly challenging times for society and now more than ever we need to keep the fuel poor at the heart of decision making.

“It isn’t fair that people cannot afford adequate energy to keep their home at a healthy temperature.  I am determined to ensure that the eradication of fuel poverty remains a national priority and delivers for everyone the right to a warm, dry home.”
