Energy Action Scotland has 6 full-time staff. An outline of their roles and their contact details are given below.

Frazer Scott,
Chief Executive Officer

Frazer leads our team. He is passionate about the social and environmental justice aspects of sustainable development. He has worked for over 20 years at a senior level with large multi-nationals, public bodies, local business, charities, social enterprise and community bodies. He has developed and secured investments of over £150million from public and private sector investors and led successful tenders for high profile international programmes and projects that have made a positive impact on communities across Scotland and overseas. He has managed cutting edge policy and research management across a range of social, economic and environmental topics. He has authored and edited innovative work on employability in a greener economy and wellbeing as a measure of social progress. He is a board member of Aberdeen Heat & Power, our sister organisation National Energy Action and an Out of school charity for families in Stirling. In his spare time he can often be found out on the roads, cycling; or poolside, helping out at swimming competitions.

Kate Cunningham

Kate Cunningham
Communications and Public Affairs Manager

Kate is responsible for marketing, communications and publications. She edits EAS’s quarterly journal, Energy Review, runs the EAS Business Supporters Group and manages EAS conferences and briefing events. She assists the CEO in briefing politicians of all parties, in Scotland and Westminster, as well as journalists on fuel poverty. Kate brings a wide range of communications and public affairs expertise to EAS having worked in Government, media, the arts, third sector and football.

Siobhan Samson,
Training and Projects Officer

Siobhan delivers various training courses throughout the year, constructs and delivers bespoke training courses for local authority and housing association staff and maintains the Energy Action Scotland Advisors Toolkit on the EAS website. Siobhan also works on various projects primarily focussing on helping people alleviate fuel poverty.

Christine McArthur,
Public Relations, Information and Research Assistant

At EAS, Christine organises events such as our successful annual conference and exhibition, as well as meetings and other events. She provides administrative services to the EAS Board and CEO and to the PR and Information team. She has worked for EAS since 1987 and prior to that, worked for Heatwise Glasgow.

Gordon Morrison

Gordon Morrison, Development Manager

Gordon is responsible for leading and co-ordinating the development, management and delivery of the projects that help Energy Action Scotland support vulnerable people enduring fuel poverty. Gordon is an accomplished and results-driven business leader with 30+ years of experience in senior leadership roles, successfully overseeing and transforming large-scale operations across various industries and business sectors. He is an executive board member of SCOPHRA, the non-profit organisation that supports elderly, vulnerable and often disabled residents of Park Homes and he is the Chair of his local park home Resident’s Association.

Nicola Sharkey

Nicola Sharkey,
Project Coordination Officer

Nicola joins EAS from the public sector where she was an Employability/Financial Advisor for Dundee City Council, managing complex caseloads, collaborating with community led initiatives, and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs. Prior to this Nicola worked in the care sector with a wide range of clients. Nicola has a person-centered approach and brings a wide skill base to the new role.
